Rainbow Girl

Ie finally did something more polished than not polished at all.

I've ended up with few final versions, so you can decide which one you like more yourself.

bright

brown

black

light gray

B&W

And here is my process:

Sketch - nothing too fancy. At this point a have a vague idea what I want to do.

After painting Rorschach I wanted to do something brighter and more colourful.
So far I was painting mostly in grayscale, so it was hard.

Refined that bit by bit.

I was happy with that colour scheme, but I wanted to push that bit more. A bit too much, but I'll tone it down later.

Oh and I wanted to check smear brush engine in Krita, but I accidentally CTRL+z-ed new layer, so I had to repair what I did manually.

Some eye sockets...

...and hair refinement. I tried to give them that "S" shape kind of flow. I don't think I succeeded here, but It's literally first time I'm drawing and rendering hair.

I couldn't decide where I want her to look, so I did 3 versions and finally decided to go with the second one.

 Some blur and colour noise.
The rest is just adding the frame, and blowing up the background brightness.

I think I've made some progress since the last December (<--click to see).

That's it

Rorschach

I was wondering if drawing with the stylus eraser is even possible.

Long story short - it is possible.

The rest of the story you'll find below illustrated and all...

I don't know if you've already seen the Watchman or not, but I know you definitely should.

If you haven't I'll spoil you something.

The film is the one of the best superhero films I've ever seen, and stands on the
podium just beside The Dark Knight and...

...that's the Rorschach, aka Walter Kovacs.

He's one bloody son of a bitch. So bad-ass I don't even... And he's surprisingly good guy.

Any ways - I'm so scared of pushing it further I have to stop to avoid hurting myself.

Don't expect more detailed version any time soon.

Montlhy Scraps - July 2016

Since July the 1st I've filled up 21 pages in my sketchbook.
Slightly less than last month, but still more than I was filling up before all that blog thingy' happened.

Any ways - it's time for monthly scraps so lets get to it.

1. I was changing his hand 5 or 6 times, but I got stuck with this... whatever this is.

2. Drawing poses from imagination. I started with stick figure in every case.
I was changing them bit by bit, but in the and I just got stuck at muscle guy on the right.

Oh.. and I forgot to save his stick figure... so you'll get incomplete process, and YUP - that gets worse and worse

3. Sketch taken from sketchbook.

That thing made me super angry. I have finally figured out what exactly is wrong with my tablet, but I learned it hard way.

That image presents the difference between eraser tip of my stylus and its drawing tip 'tho the drawing tip is not the top one...

My eraser has still 1024 levels of pressure, but the other one has only 2.

4. If you've seen Monthly Scraps from May (click if you haven't) you may recognize this.
I pushed it just a bit and I definitely know I have to get rid of that anime-ish proportions.

My resolution for this month is to learn how to draw hair like a total noob.

Angry Panda for the long post
